Full Itinerary
Day 1: Guilin Arrival (D)
Welcome to beautiful Guilin. As touching down on to the city, meet our local tour guide and get escorted to the hotel. Have leisure time before joining the group meeting and bike riding test. You will have time to get acquainted with your new friend which is about to accompany you in the next 13 days before heading to a local restaurant for a warmly welcome banquet.
Later transfer back to the hotel and have a good rest.
Day 2: Guilin – Xingan (B, L, D)
Refresh yourself up with a hearty breakfast at the hotel and get ready for a full day traveling. Our guide and driver will wait outside the hotel to transfer you out of the hustle and bustle Guilin city, entering the wild and hidden jungle. Go trekking and admire the sight of the glorious natural waterfall in the rural area of Guilin before back to the car and moving to the starting point of today’s biking trip. Cycle along the 36 kilometers paved and flat road heading to Xing’an County, where we will stop for well-deserved lunch.
Located in the northern part of Guilin, Xingan is a historical county, home to the oldest canal around the world – Lingqu Canal. Have an exciting experience as biking the 28-kilometer-greenway along with this critical waterborne transportation hub which was dug out in 214 BC by the first Chinese Emperor.
As the sun begins to set, get on the supporting van transferring the hotel to feast on flavorful dinner and relax.
Day 3: Bajiaozhai National Park (B, L, D)
Wake up early to enjoy the breakfast then drive to Bajiaozhai National Park which gains fame for its extraordinary red sandstone karst formation. Upon arrival, change your cycle shoes into the common shoes as we will climb up 1800 steps to reach the Yantai Buddhist Temple on the highest peaks where tourists can learn about the way local people make offerings and wishes as well as take in the stunning view over the mountains.
After lunch, trek down through the bamboo groves to our homestay in the afternoon. As you will spend your night in the local house, get acquainted with the friendly hosts and spend some time listening to their daily lives before feasting on the banquet of local specialties.

Day 4: Bajiaozhai – Chetian (B, L, D)
After breakfast, get ready for our ride today taking us up into the mountains. Ride away from the park and into the quiet roads passing through the small villages and admire the image of local tending rice fields and livestock on the backdrop of verdant forest and farmland. Keep cycling and take a sharp ascent up onto a ridgeline to enjoy the rural Chinese scenes followed by a descent into a wider valley passing descending into a wider valley. Pay a visit to the local village of Guali before enjoying lunch there.
Later, in the afternoon, arrive at then take a short ride in Chetian– a peaceful and less commercialized town. The guide will take you to the quiet hotel which is surrounded by spectacular rock formations, impressive waterfalls to have dinner and relax.
Spend your night on the guesthouse.
Day 5: Chetian – Longsheng hot spring Resort (B, L, D)
Fuel up your energy with a hearty breakfast and continue the biking trip in picturesque China. Today riding is not much challenging with two passes, descents as well as plenty of time to stop and visit many ancient villages along the road. Also, tourists can have a fascinating experience to catch a glimpse of the lifestyles of Dong, Miao, and Yao people inhabiting there. You will be amazed by the friendliness of the locals as they welcome you with smiling faces, invite you a cup of tea and proudly take you around their homes.
After having lunch, continue our ride along the rivers through the villages nestled by the breathtaking rice terraces. Afterward, cycle downhill to the Longsheng hot spring resort – the perfect place to relax your muscle after a full day ride. Enjoy the luxury and comfortable hot spring water bath, indulge in well-deserved dinner and have a good night in the resort.
Day 6: Hot Spring Resort – Longji Rice Terrace (B, L, D)
Wake up early to soak up in the hot spring before having breakfast will be a wonderful beginning of a new day. Then get your bike and start riding 24km along the river, which might be a bit challenging with some slopes. Along the way, we will pass the county capital, Longsheng and stop for visiting the local market crammed with color and fascinating goods of various kinds. At noon, after arriving at the rice terraces car park and feast on lunch, we drive and trek uphill. The marvelous sight of the famous terraces and the flamboyant red color dress of Yao ethnic people is perfect for picture taking. Later, have leisure time to sit down and sip on some beer while watching the sunset on the terrace of Zhuang minority traditional guesthouse.
As the night falls, feast on the dinner and relax in the wooden lodge.
Day 7: Pingan Village (B)
Good morning with a delicious breakfast. Today, tourists will have the rest of the day to discover this picturesque area by yourself. To take a day trip hiking to the nearby Dazhai village to admire the scenic natural beauty or wander around the Pingan to buy some interesting souvenirs is a good recommendation.
Day 8: Longji Terraces – Qingshitan Reservoir (B, L, D)
After breakfast, back to the same road down the parking lot and get your bikes. Hop on the bus to escape the busy road before starting cycling. Have lunch then continue the ride. On the way, witness the scenery turn into the majestic Qingshintan Reservoir.
Have a well-deserved dinner and head to the hotel for resting.
Day 9: Qingshintan Reservoir – Daxu (B, L, D)
After savoring the breakfast, follow the guide to complete the first part of the greater Loop of northern Guilin with a visit to the old village of Jiangtouzhou where the Zhou Dunyi- a famous philosopher under the Song Dynasty once lived. Stroll around the old road and appreciate the ancient houses with intricate wood and stone carvings dating back to Ming and Qing Dynasty. Feast on lunch then keep on riding. Travel back in time to the old days of China with the cobblestone lanes, stone-arch bridge and the classic black tiles roofed wooden dwellings of Daxu Ancient Town. Catch a glimpse of the local life when paying a visit to one of the old courtyard houses and take in the bustling atmosphere of the riverside streets where you can easily find dozens of hawkers selling various things from antiques, curios to weird and wonderful herbs and remedies.
Later, as the sun begins to set, transfer to the hotel and have leisure time after dinner.
Day 10: Daxu- Xingping (B, L, D)
Refresh yourself up with flavorful breakfast and get ready for today’s ride. This morning, the tour offers the tourists the chance to have a closer look at the centuries-old architecture retained in several Ming-era villages. Then we will stop for lunch near Caoping and then continue to explore the magnificent natural beauty of karst mountains along the Li River, which is praised as the “finest scenery under heaven” by the Chinese in the afternoon.
Tourists can catch a glimpse of the spectacular mountains above and below on the hilly route following the river before reaching the port village of Xingping. Enjoy the incredible view of the river from our hotel and enrich the tour by gazing over beautiful cafes and handicraft shops.
Afterward, feast on dinner and have a good rest.
Day 11: Xingping – Yangshou (B, L, D)
The itinerary begins after breakfast. The highlight of today’s journey is the peaceful and poetic sceneries along the way heading to Yangshou. Aside from the splendid scenes of karst mountain and the river stretching as far as the eye can see, tourists can soak up into the tranquil atmosphere of the countryside with verdant rice paddies, and the mud-brick house on the way. The road might be not simple, but do not worry as our experienced guide will accompany you all the way. Lunch will is served during the trip.
We will arrive at Yangshuo before evening. Finish the check-in process and have leisure time before savoring the dinner. Have a good night in your hotel room.
Day 12: Yangshuo (B, L, D)
Good morning in Yangshou. Follow the tour guide to reveal the charms of the tranquil countryside after breakfast. On the route, we will cycle past the less-known yet beautiful Liugong Village located on the bank of the Li River, then continue to travel through the pomelo groves, tea plantations, rice terraces before indulging little by little Yangshuo which is now a thriving tourist town and a wonderful destination for relaxing. Have a well-deserved lunch and pedal to the final section of today’s ride – splendid Dragon River Valley where we take the dirt trails through the rice fields surrounded by the mountains.
Later, settle in a local village, feast on dinner and enjoy your night at the charming hotel.
Day 13: Yangshuo Departure (B)
After savoring breakfast, our guide will help you to finish the check-out process. Then, it is time to say goodbye. Our China tour package comes to an end.
