Full Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing Arrival
Say hi to China’s capital, Beijing. Upon your arrival, our local tour guide will meet and escort you to the well- prearranged hotel in a comfortable private car. Gain a relaxed introduction about the cultural and historical hub on your way. Check-in and relax to refresh yourself after a long journey for the remainder of the day.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the hotel. Then, follow your guide to the enormous Tiananmen Square– the world’s largest square before stepping your foot at the majestic Forbidden City where 24 emperors resided. Feast on Chinese dishes for lunch at a local restaurant before a drive to the Temple of Heaven.
Enrich your night with an exciting Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater or intriguing Acrobatics Show at Chaoyang Theater before returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Fuel up energy with a hotel buffet breakfast. Today, have an experience of a lifetime with a visit to the World’s Heritage, the Great Wall of China! Drive across the beautiful country road to the north of Beijing, where you finally reach the Mutianyu part of the Great Wall. This section has such a large number of watchtowers, which offers perfect spots for great pictures. Following up your walk along the humankind’s great engineering feat is a well-deserved lunch.
Continue the journey with a rickshaw ride through Hutongs, a maze of narrow alleys for an authentic experience of local life. Transfer back to the hotel and have a good rest.
Day 4: Beijing – Xian (B, L)
After breakfast, take a drive to marvelous Summer Palace and admire the beautiful sights of gardens and lakes previously enjoyed by the royal. Spend time exploring the Garden of Virtue and Harmony before the flavorful lunch.
In the afternoon, let the tour guide escort you to Beijing Airport where you will board the flight to the next destination of the journey, Xian. Upon your arrival in Xian, be met and driven to the city hotel. Check-in and relax in your comfortable room.
Day 5: Xian (B, L)
Breakfast is served in your hotel before taking in today’s itinerary. The first stop is Xian’s ancient City Wall. Walk or enjoy a bicycle, rickshaw ride across this massive marvel of ancient engineering while witnessing the iconic view of the city.
After lunchtime, follow the tour guide to visit the Terracotta Army – a valuable archeological discovery of this century. Gain interesting insights that not many tourists notice about this incredible ancient wonder. Afterward, get on a private car to back to your hotel.
Day 6: Xian – Chengdu (B, L)
Begin a new day of exploring with a hearty breakfast. Today, you will be offered a fascinating visit to the Muslim Quarter of Xian. Known as a melting pot of the world-renowned Silk Road, this unique area brings a chance to have yourself immersed in historic and profound Muslim cultural atmosphere. Moreover, it is heaven for foodies, conquer around and sample such an extensive variety of mouthwatering local food.
Take some refreshments and continue the journey with a visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda – the gem of Chinese architecture. Soak up in the rich Buddhism culture and admire the enchanting surrounding gardens.
After that, head to the city airport for your flight to Chengdu, the home of lovely pandas. Be met and transferred to the hotel by our friendly local guide once you arrive. Free time for the rest of the day.
Day 7: Chengdu (B, L)
Prepare for an active day experiencing the job of panda keepers with a breakfast. After a half-hour drive from the hotel, you will reach the Dujiangyan Panda Base.
Working as a panda volunteer, you will help with cleaning the panda enclosures, prepare food, feed, and play with this cuddliest creature. You will also have lunch with other staffs in the center canteen.
At the end of the day, a certificate will be given to you as the memento from this special day. Transfer back to the hotel and enjoy leisure time.
Day 8: Chengdu – Guilin (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast on another day in the paradise city for the panda. Today’s morning trip continues the theme of the adorable animal. Here in Chengdu, you will find a wide range of things related to panda. Pay a visit to the trendy landmark of the city, the giant panda sculpture climbing over the Chengdu International Finance Square. This massive work created by internationally famous artist Lawrence Argent is 15 meters tall and 13 tons in weight.
As lunchtime is over, head to Chengdu’s People Park to sip on a cup of fragrant tea in the local teahouse. Have a deep breath of fresh air and experience the traditional Sichuan tea culture. Drive further to the Kuan-Zhai Lane also called Wide and Narrow Alley, where the historical and modern beauty blend perfectly.
As the sun sets, take a drive to the city airport. Say goodbye to Chengdu and travel to the picturesque Guilin. Spend the night in Guilin hotel after the arrival.
Day 9: Guilin – Yangshuo (B, L)
Enjoy your breakfast and stay eager for your tour exploring the poetic beauty of the countryside of Guilin away from the bustle and hustle of sprawling cities. Take a four-hour cruise along the Li River – one of the world’s top ten watery wonders by National Geographic and admire the marvelous sights of the bamboo forests, karst peaks, and some water buffalos cooling off in the gentle river. Stop at Yangshuo and pay a visit to the farmer’s home to find out the real life of people in the rural area. Then, have lunch in the fresh air.
The countryside exploration continues with a bike ride along small roads and lanes winding among paddy fields and orchards. In the evening, try on some street food on the west street before staying overnight in this beautiful town.
Day 10: Yangshuo (B, L)
After breakfast, follow the tour guide to the local food market in Yangshuo. Breath the countryside atmosphere and grab the fresh ingredients for your cooking class. Follow the instruction of the teacher to see how magically vegetables, meats, and seasonings are combined, cooked to become delicious dishes. Practice by yourself and enjoy the results. You can even take the recipes home with you.
In the afternoon, transfer directly to the airport from Yangshuo and fly to Shanghai. Our local guide and driver will meet and escort you to the hotel upon your arrival. Relax and get ready for tomorrow’s trip.
Day 11: Shanghai (B, L)
Morning in the high-paced, modern and thriving metropolis Shanghai begins with a tasty breakfast. Follow the guide to explore the perfect blend of the old and new. Admire the iconic scenery from China’s highest glass observation deck of the Shanghai World Financial Center. Then feast on the luxurious Cantonese lunch within beautiful exteriors and catch the overview of the Bund.
In the afternoon, dive in the ancient beauty of Shanghai with well-known Yuyuan Garden built up and preserved for hundreds of years. Breath the prosperous atmosphere in the Chenghuamiao bazaars decorated with blazing traditional Chinese buildings of white walls and black roofs. It is also the perfect place to grab some unique souvenirs, handicrafts, antiques and to sample famous local snacks.
Day 12: Shanghai Departure (B)
