Full Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing Arrival (B)
Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China! Your guide will meet you and escort to the hotel for a delicious breakfast and relaxation. The rest of the day is free for you to refresh or to discover nearby areas if you want.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)
After having breakfast, start to discover every corner of Beijing. The first destination today is Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city plaza in the world and known as the gate of heavenly peace. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will have a chance to pay a visit one of the world’s five most significant palaces – the Forbidden City. You will be amazed by the largest ancient palatial structure and well-preserved buildings.
In the lunchtime, we enjoy lunch before heading to the Summer Palace, which is a place famous for a vast ensemble of lakes, beautiful gardens and, majestic palaces in Beijing. The vast lotus in Kunming Lake and the colorful paintings in the Long Corridor deeply impress on your mind. Interestingly, your family can leisurely boat on the Kunming Lake of Summer Palace and enjoy a Chinese Kungfu Show to get a deeper understanding of Chinese martial art culture in the evening. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Beijing.
Day 3: Beijing (B, L, D)
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast before driving about 70km to visit Great Wall – one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the longest wall in the world with the best masterpieces of all sections of Great Wall including the Badaling, Jiankouk, Mutianyu, Jinshanling, and Simatai. Interestingly, you will have a great chance to take a cable car to ascend the Great Wall and enjoy leisure strolling along the beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall with your family. It is a should-not-miss destination because it is a well-preserved segment and less-crowded than other sections in the Great Wall.
As the sun begins to set, drive back to the hotel in downtown Beijing for a great dinner and a good rest.
Day 4: Beijing & High-Speed train to Xian (B, L, D)
After having breakfast, head to the imperial site – Temple of Heaven to participate in traditional activities including Tai Chi, dancing, kite flying, and water calligraphy. Next, head back to the downtown city to hop on a rickshaw to experience Beijing Hutongs. In the lunchtime, we pay a visit to a local family’s home and enjoy local cuisines. Then, Hutong offers an interesting Chinese Calligraphy Course, your family will have a chance to get a deeper understanding of this magnificent Chinese traditional art After that, your tour guide will transfer you to the Xian North Railway Station for your high-speed train to Xian. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel for a delicious meal and relaxation.
Day 5: Xian (B, L, D)
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy delicious breakfast before driving to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which experienced 2000 years history and were built by the first emperor of China Qin Shihuang. You certainly will be amazed by the the the fabulous artistic skills of ancient Chinese artisans.
After that, we enjoy lunch before the drive back to Xian. Take leisure time to walk around the Ancient City Wall – the best-preserved ancient city wall in China. It is time for you can to witness panoramic views of modern Xian. Next, take a stroll around the bustling Muslim Quarter and taste special local Xian snacks. We complete a full day of exploration with a fantastic bike tour on the Ancient City Wall.

Day 6: Xian & High-Speed Train to Chengdu (B, L, D)
Enjoy breakfast and start a new day with a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum. It is a great chance for you and your children get a deeper understanding of the glorious Chinese history with a wide range of relics and historical sites. Afterward, we continue to pay a visit to the home of a local family to see the daily life of a traditional Chinese family. Interestingly, your family will have a fun time to learn how to make Chinese dumplings under the dedicated and friendly instruction of the chef. In the lunchtime, enjoy delicious dumpling banquet as well as Chinese food.
After Xian exploration, we take about 4 hours driving from Xian North Railway Station fora high-speed train to Chengdu. Welcome to Chengdu, where you can experience the hometown of Giant Pandas! Upon arrival at Chengdu East Railway Station, your tour guide will be met and transfer you to the hotel in Chengdu for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 7: Chengdu (B, L, D)
Get up early and enjoy delicious breakfast in the morning. Are you ready to explore Chengdu? The first destination today is the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, which is home for over 100 Giant Pandas with the most significant panda scientific research center. After that, stroll leisurely along Panda Museum to know more interesting facts about pandas and observe many different giant pandas tumbling, eating bamboos, playing with each other, and climbing trees. Moreover, if you want to explore more Giant Pandas, you can take part in a Panda Volunteering Program, which is organized in Dujiangyan Panda Base.
One of the must-sees is to witness pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery room. After that, take a short visit to the hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Coming to Wenshu Temple, the exquisite Buddhist architecture and peaceful atmosphere will make an impression on you while wandering around the temple. After having lunch, continue to the City’s Renmin Park to immerse in tranquil and unwind pace. Sit down, enjoy Chinese tea, watch many kinds of folk shows and have some interesting conversation with locals. How amazing it is! Then, take a short visit to the famous Jinli Old Street to taste delicious local snacks and participate in dynamic activities. At the end of the day, we transfer back to the hotel to enjoy dinner and stay overnight here.
Day 8: Chengdu & Flight to Shanghai ( B, L)
After breakfast, we catch a flight to Shanghai. Welcome to Shanghai, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel for a short break. The rest of today is free for you to relax. Depending on your need, if you want to explore Shanghai, Tianzifang, Former French Concession, and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium are some suggestions for your family to have a fun time together.
Day 9: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Today, we will spend the full day to discover the past and present of Shanghai after having breakfast. We start with a visit to Yu Garden, which holds unique in its design, exquisite layout as well as stunning scenery. Next, reaching the Yuyuan Bazaar where you can enjoy delicious local snacks, uncover elaborate traditional Chinese handicrafts and artworks. Afterward, take a short visit to enjoy a panoramic view of modern Shanghai from the 100th floor- Shanghai World Financial Center. After having lunch, we travel to the reputable landmark of Shanghai – Nanjing Road. Strolling around to immerse in a shopping paradise and bustling atmosphere of the ancient city. Next, you will stop at the Bund to see the perfect fusion of Chinese and Western cultures as well as experience a stunning view of Shanghai skyline.
After dinner at the hotel, take Huangpu River night cruise to see a panoramic view of the full city. Stay overnight in Shanghai.
