Full Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing Arrival (B)
Step your foot in the historical and cultural hub of China, Beijing. Warmly welcomed by our tour guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel for breakfast and relaxation. Leisure time for the remainder of the day in a comfortable room will refresh yourself after a long journey and get ready for tomorrow’s itinerary.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Start the day with a hotel buffet breakfast. Then head to the first place in the Beijing Itinerary, Tiananmen Square. Not far from it is the Forbidden City, the grand buildings with red wall and golden roof offering an insight into imperial majesty and gorgeous parts of Chinese history.
At midday, Beijing specialties are served at a quality local restaurant. After flavorful lunch, the afternoon trip continues to the Temple of Heaven where generations of emperors prayed for peace and harvests. Wander around the magnificent architecture and take nice pictures.
Before coming back to the hotel, you have a memorable experience watching an exciting Kung Fu show.
Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
After breakfast, the tour guide will pick up and take you on the drive to Mutianyu, the most famous part of the World’s wonder, the Great Wall. Explore the story behind one of the greatest construction for national defense, which is built with ancient Chinese’s wisdom, creation, sweat, and even blood.
Enjoy Chinese lunch in a restaurant around the wall area before gazing over the Bird’s Nest– Beijing National Stadium where the spectacular opening ceremony and other main events of Olympic 2008 were held. Afterward, head towards a featured local market. Free time to experience the Beijing bustle atmosphere and grab some unique souvenirs.
At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Beijing – Xian (B, L)
The third day in Beijing begins with the magnificent sight of Summer Palace after a hearty breakfast. Next, you will have a one-of-a-time excursion by rickshaw along Hutongs and catch a glimpse of the ancient Chinese life. You are also offered a special lesson on making Chinese Paper Cutting there.
Have a good lunchtime with other tourists. Later in the second half of the day, arrive at the airport for your flight to Xian. Once you reach Xian, our local tour guide will be waiting right outside the baggage claim to escort you to the pre-arranged hotel.
Day 5: Xian (B, L, D)
Morning sightseeing tour in Xian first brings you to the Terracotta Army, one of the great wonder of the ancient world. Be impressed by the warrior figures, which are at a high level of artistic and historic values, as well as the wide range of Chinese ancient weapon.
After lunch, pay a visit to the Xian’s Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the Buddhist pagoda whose age is over a millenary.
Immerse in fascinating and colorful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while savoring the special Dumpling dinner will mark a memorable night in Xian,
Return to the hotel for a good sleep.
Day 6: Xian (B, L)
As breakfast is done, follow the tour guide to experience the authentic local life at City Wall Park. Then take a bike ride on the City Wall, the pride of Xian. Enjoy the iconic view of the city which is previously the country’s capital for thirteen dynasties.
After lunchtime, continue with a visit to Shaanxi History and the Great Mosque. Free time to wander around the area to catch a glance at beautiful architectures, history, and religion of the imperial city through the long passage of time.
Return to the hotel and have time at leisure.
Day 7: Xian – Chengdu (B)
Savor the breakfast at the hotel before boarding the high-speed train to Chengdu. Upon your arrival, be met by the tour guide and driven to the pre-arranged hotel for check-in. In the remainder of the day, free time to explore the city on your own.
Day 8: Chengdu (B, L)
The adorable giant panda is a must in any Chengdu itinerary. After filling up the energy with a tasteful breakfast, head to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to watch the lovely animal eat bamboos and play with the other. Continue the morning tour in the Board and Narrow Alleys where you enjoy the delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, reach the Jinsha Site Museum. Experience the glimpse of Chengdu people’s casual lifestyle at a tea break.
Come back to your comfortable room and relax.
Day 9: Chengdu – Chongqing (B, L)
Say goodbye to Chengdu and take a 2-hour bullet train to Chongqing the high-paced, futuristic city. As you arrive at the station, our tour guide in Chongqing will meet and drive you to Jiefangbei CBD and the Ci Qi Kou ancient village. Lunch is served in the visit.
Later in the evening, as you have the dinner by yourself, get transferred the cruise ship and the enjoyable cruising experience in the mighty Yangtze River starts.
Day 10: Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
Wake up and catch the spectacular sights and sounds of the river till the ship disembarks for a shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda in the afternoon. Return to the vessel to continue the cruise trip.
Today’s meals are served in the dining hall on board. For your memorable experience, there is a Welcome Party following the dinner. Have fun with interesting games, dance and singing programs.
Relax in your comfortable cabin.
Day 11: Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
Feast on three delicious meals on the ship so that you can enjoy the landscapes while eating. On the cruise downstream the Yangtze River today, you will stop at Badong to have an amazing experience on pea-boat floating along Shennong Stream. This 60km stream flows from the Shennongjia Mountain, through many valleys and finally meets the Yangtze River at Wu Gorge. Sit on the boat and enjoy the magnificent scenery peaks covered in mist and clouds, beautiful waterfalls, towering rock cliffs in the gentle melody of Tujia folk songs.
Afterward, return to the ship and continue to sail to the longest of the Little Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge. Stay overnight on board.
Day 12: Yichang – Shanghai (B, L)
Savor the breakfast before the ship disembarks for a visit to the Three Gorges Dam– the largest hydropower on the world. Take some time to gaze over the monumental engineering area. Then continue to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang City. After that, you will be escorted to the Yichang East Railway Station to board the bullet train to Shanghai. After 7.5 hour travel, here you are in the last destination of the whole trip.
Transfer to the hotel and have leisure time.
Day 13: Shanghai (B, L)
Good morning in Shanghai. After breakfast in the hotel, take a drive to the Shanghai Museum. Next, get further to Yu Garden, a wonderful tourist attraction famous for fabulous natural scenery, classical Chinese garden. architecture, exquisite sculptures and carvings, and the prosperous Yuyuan bazaar.
At the midday, enjoy the best of Shanghai cuisine. The afternoon sightseeing tour goes on with a visit to Former French Concession, the Bund area, and a Huangpu River Cruise trip.
You also have time to explore the Bund on your own before transferring back to the hotel.
Day 14: Shanghai Departure (B)
Enjoy your breakfast on the last day of a 14-day trip discovering China with Yangtze River cruise experience. You have a morning to pack your luggage before the check-out time at noon. On your journey home, wish you bon voyage.
